About AIRT
In 1998 renowned architect Boris Podrecca transformed the Ringturm tower’s former cash hall into a modern exhibition centre. This has been the venue for the regular free exhibitions of Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein’s Architektur im Ringturm series ever since. For several years the focus of the series has been the cultural and architectural diversity of Central and Eastern Europe – a region throughout which the companies of the Vienna Insurance Group operate. The scope of themes explored by the exhibitions over the years has also been extremely diverse, ranging from Japan’s architectural heritage to profile of Norway’s best-known architect. Exhibition catalogues to accompany the series are available for purchase at the Ringturm.
